Selling Handmade Crochet Plushies at Markets: A 2025 Recap

I sell my handmade crochet plushies at vendor events in Lower Bucks County, PA (northeast of Northeast Philly). In 2025 I attended 6 markets, most of which were the monthly Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll.

My Crochet Plushies for Sale

I sell a variety of small handmade crochet plushie animals. My most popular products are my Minis Plushies Basket, mini kitties, axolotls, turtles, frogs, and mushrooms.

I also sell these online in my Etsy shop.

April Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll

My first event of the year was the April Sunday Stroll! It was a sunny day with some wind.

This market was the debut for my new banners that I made in February and March! I designed a crochet pattern so you can make your own custom banners – check it out here.

I always bring way too many plushies, so it’s hard to tell from my before and afters, but this was my second-best market of the year.

May Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll

A few weeks later I was back again at the Sunday Stroll, in almost the same spot as in April. It was another sunny and windy day.

This was actually my best market of the year, despite the wind knocking some things over here and there.

June Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll

In June, we hoped for another sunny and successful day, but the weather had other plans. We set up as usual a few hours before the event.

But then everything changed when it started raining out of NOWHERE. There was no forecasted rain that day at all. By the time the event started, we were soaked.

Usually at the Sunday Stroll events, the beginning of the event is the most busy. This is because A) it starts at noon and there’s always good food trucks and B) parking fills up fast so people have learned to get there early. So with the sudden rain right as the event started, a lot less people than usual ended up coming, despite the weather clearing up within an hour.

This unexpected rain also happened at the June Sunday Stroll in 2024. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen like this again lol.

September Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll

The Sunday Stroll takes a few months off for summer, then returns for the fall. I was actually lucky that I didn’t sell as much in June, because it meant I had plenty of inventory left. I moved at the end of August / beginning of September, so I didn’t have much time to prepare for this event.

I had almost enough inventory – I actually sold out of mini kitties! I wish I had had a few more.

November Bensalem High School Craft Fair

Next up was an indoor craft fair!

I love doing indoor events, even though it is more difficult to get nice pictures of my displays. This event went well.

November Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll

My next event was the Sunday Stroll again, which was scheduled for the day after the BHS Craft Fair. I don’t normally like to do double weekends, but sometimes I’ll make an exception. However, mother nature had other plans.

When we got there to set up, we noticed just how windy it was. We were expecting a cold day, but not the insane wind.

I was nervous about setting up, especially seeing how other people’s tents were moving in the wind. But we still made an attempt. After only 20 minutes we decided to take the tent down so it wouldn’t break.

The wind was making it so uncomfortable to sit outside, and in the 2 hours we were there I was honestly hoping they would cancel it. The organizers really didn’t want to cancel, but the fire department helped them decide to cancel for everyone’s safety.

Luckily, they were able to reschedule it for the following Sunday. Fortunately, that Sunday was just the cold November day we expected with no wind.

2026 Events

I am not yet signed up for any markets this year, but here’s what I plan to sign up for:

Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll

This year I plan to be at most of the Sunday Stroll events. Follow their Facebook page here for more details.

The dates planned for this year are April 26, May 17, June 28, September 20, October 25, and November 15.

I’m not sure if I’ll make it to all 6 dates. Make sure to follow my Facebook and Instagram where I will share what events I will be at.

Snyder Spring Fling and Snyder Fall Fling

This year I hope to be able to attend Snyder Middle School’s events in the spring and fall. I couldn’t make it to either in 2025. This is the flyer for their spring event on May 2nd:

These events take place in the parking lot of Bensalem High School.

Bensalem High School Craft Fair

I don’t think the date is announced yet, but I do hope to be back at the BHS Craft Fair this November.

More Events?

I am open to doing more vendor events this year! If you know of any in the area, please let me know!

Mini Crochet Plushies Basket for Vendor Markets

As a crochet vendor at markets, my best-seller is always the cheapest: plushies from my minis basket. I sell these minis for $6 or 2-for-$10.

This minis basket was new for my market booth in 2025. Let’s see how well it performed at markets over the course of the year. I’m going to show you which patterns I use to make these miniature plushies, how many of each one I make, and how many sold at each market.

April 2025 Mini Plushie Basket

I started putting together this minis basket in March. Some of the tiny plushies, like the baby leggy frogs, I had been making already for a few years. But I wanted to add more variety, so I asked for pattern suggestions on my Instagram stories. So to start I had baby leggy frogs, whales, mini bees, octos, baby birds in 2 styles, and strawberries.

In April I attended the Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll. It was a pretty good market, and I ended up selling 33 of the 65 mini plushies. The whales sold the most, and my tiny birds sold out entirely.

This left me with 32 mini plushies.

May 2025 Mini Plushie Basket

I spent a few weeks restocking before my next market in May. This time, I added way more styles of tiny birds, as I was working to design all 16 styles for my Tiny Birds Pattern. I also restocked whales and octos, and added sharks.

The May Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll was my best market in 2025. I sold a total of 50 mini plushies out of the 87 I brought with me. I was happy to see the tiny birds were so popular, so after this market I finished all the styles and released the pattern. I also sold out of strawberries.

I was left with 37 mini plushies.

June 2025 Mini Plushie Basket

In June, I restocked the most popular mini plushies, but I also experimented with a few new mini plushie styles. I added the carrots, frog heads, boba, and cherries.

The June Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll was not as well attended as usual due to some unexpected rain during the setup hours. So this time I brought even more mini plushies than ever before (95 total), but only sold 20. The tiny birds were still most popular, and none of my new additions (like the carrots) sold.

I had 75 mini plushies left in June. Which turned out to be a good thing, as I didn’t have time to restock before my next market.

September 2025 Mini Plushie Basket

My usual markets skip the summer (which I’m happy about because I don’t want to sit out in the heat lol), so the next market was in September. I moved in the beginning of September, so I really did not have time to market prep at all. I was still painting and unpacking in my new house. Because of this, I completely forgot to take all my before pictures to make my usual minis basket update posts. But I started with the 75 minis I had left in June, and sold 33 of them.

November 2025 Mini Plushie Basket

I had more time to restock in October and November. I made plenty of the tiny birds, focusing on the styles I thought would sell most. I started November with 87 plushies in the minis basket.

I had two markets scheduled for the same weekend in November: the Bensalem High School Craft Fair and the Bristol Borough Sunday Stroll.

The Craft Fair went as expected, but the Sunday Stroll did NOT. We showed up to set up on the street as usual, but it was so windy that the fire department shut down the event. Luckily, the organizers managed to reschedule it for the next Sunday.

Between the two markets, I sold 40 mini plushies. Nearly half of those were tiny birds.

Summary

At this point, I’m sure you’re wondering: what sold best overall?

Here’s the top 5:

5. Strawberries

Strawberries seemed to be a hit or miss in the minis basket. Some times I sold a few, and other times I sold none. I sold a total of 15. Get the strawberry pattern by crochetwbay here.

4. Octos

Octos were more popular in the beginning of the year than the end. I sold a total of 20. The octo pattern is based on several patterns by All From Jade.

3. Baby Leggy Frogs

I was not expecting this to be one of my top sellers, considering how I didn’t make a single additional baby leggy frog from the initial batch of 22 I started with in April! But I ended the year with just one left, selling a total of 21. Get the baby leggy frog pattern by knotjaded here.

2. Whales

Whales were quite popular – I sold a total of 34. Get the whale pattern from All From Jade here.

1. Tiny Birds!

I’m sure you saw this one coming, but tiny birds were the most popular in the minis basket. I sold 59 of them!! Across all 16 styles, the top sellers were the chick (14), mallard duck (9), and the call duck (7). Get the tiny birds pattern here.
